KILMEEN DRAMA GROUP

Kilmeen Drama Group are based in Rossmore, Co. Cork.  Click here to take a tour of our home at Rossmore Theatre. We compete annually in the 3 Act & 1 Act amateur festival circuits. Kilmeen have appeared in the 3 Act Open All Ireland's, held in Athlone, on 20 occasions, winning the coveted All Ireland title 4 times since 2006.

 

In 2006 Kilmeen won with Tom Murphy's  "A Crucial Week in the Life of a Grocer's Assistant". 2011 saw our next win with another of Tom Murphy's plays "A Whistle in the Dark".  In 2012 Kilmeen completed a 2-in-a-row win with Conor McPherson's "The Weir".  In 2013, Kilmeen completed a historic 3-in-a-row All-Ireland win with J.M. Synge's "The Playboy of the Western World"

 

Kilmeen have also won the 1 Act Open All Ireland in 2011 with Enda Walsh's "Disco Pigs".
